Designed for the Breville BOV650XL Compact Smart Oven. Bamboo cutting boards are ideal as they absorb very little moisture and have natural antibacterial properties. They are also harder than most cutting boards and are less prone to knife markings over time. Recessed handles on the sides make it easy to pick up and transfer directly to the table for serving. As a tray, it replaces the need for a trivet or heat mat to protect the table surface from heat damage. Mounted silicone feet on the underside allow the top surface to remain cool, so you may store common kitchen items on top of The Compact Smart Oven without losing counter space. Regularly used items such as fruit bowl, knife block or loaf of bread may be conveniently housed in this way.

I actually never write reviews, but decided I would for this product. I was very disappointed when I received this cutting board. I had just initially washed it with water and the board started shedding small "hair like" pieces of bamboo. As I wiped them off, more pieces of bamboo came off. I would hate to think that these could have easily gotten into the food that I was preparing. This is the first product I ever returned to Amazon (after many purchases) and I had no problems with that process.

We got the BOV650 toaster oven for Christmas. We quickly found out that the top of the oven gets hot, Hot, HOT. How hot? Untouchable, that's how hot. (As does the left side, be forewarned; we put a toaster there to provide protection.) We tried putting some metal pans up there, as we had done with our old Black ; Decker convection unit, but the pans also became untouchably hot within a few minutes; this never happened with the B;D. Next we put an old cutting board on top and voila, problem solved. We're getting this one so that we have a piece that is specifically made to fill the space.
In my humble estimation this 'cutting board', or something (anything!) else to shield the top of the unit, should come standard with the oven. The top is too large and too flat to avoid becoming a landing zone, and it gets far, Far, FAR too hot for many things that might land there in the typical kitchen.
