I bought this board a few months ago. It is my first quality wooden cutting board and I have really enjoyed using it. One of the benefits of a wooden board not mentioned is that there is a knap from the end grain that really grabs the food and lessens the chance of it slipping while being cut. Onions, tomatoes, potatoes, everything seems to stay in place a lot better than on slick plastic or especially glass. Well worth the price, if you plan to care for it properly.
One note of caution. This board sits on very small corner tabs. The board stays on my countertop. Once i failed to check under the board for moisture and woke up the next day to a warped board. Boy was I upset. Anyway, with the use of several Dutch ovens and a lot of patients, the board came back to its original flatness. This experience taught me two things. 1) Be sure the surface under the board is dry if you store it flat and 2) when you season the board with mineral oil, season both sides and all edges.
Great board. You won't be sorry you purchased it.

I shopped around quite a bit before coming up with a few candidates for my small kitchen. Size is a consideration for anyone living in a small NY apartment, but I had a feeling that this particular board was going to not only be the right size for my average counter space, but also be durable enough to use everyday. My fellow reviewers were right. This is a great value for the money.
A few tips to get your money's worth:
Keep your board clean and well seasoned. Always have mineral oil and treat your board with a generous dollop on all sides every day.
When using meats/poultry use a flexible plastic board on top of this board to avoid cross contamination.
Check underneath your board and wipe away any excess humidity or condensation. Don't let your board sit on even the smallest puddles of water.
ETA - I've now owned this board for a year and a half and it's still holding up great. I keep it clean, dry and well lubricated with mineral oil.
